Books play an essential part in our growth into maturity in Christ. Yet Christians in the majority world still have to rely largely on books by Western authors, in English or in translation. As a result, the cultural background of the books available tends to be alien to the pastor.

There is a strong need, as is increasingly acknowledged, to encourage gifted and educated nationals to write books for pastors in the vernacular that reflect their own culture and context.

Our Writers Grants (WG) support evangelical scholars in the majority world to write books for the benefit of the church in their regions. The primary audience are pastors and pastoral students.

Currently, seven majority world Writers are actively authoring much needed books for their local contexts. As examples, we currently sponsor two projects in the Middle East and have completed books by writers in Peru, Nigeria, Taiwan and The Philippines.

Please contribute £1,750 / $2,500 toward one of these important writing projects. Books are tremendous gift and supporting the development of a single title is a gift to hundreds of pastors. The cost of writing and editing ranges between £3500/$5000 –£6500/$10,000. This money is carefully allocated to strategic projects that fill a significant gap in areas of study.
