Seminary students are the next generation of pastors, but for many Majority World students good theological study books are far too expensive to buy. Our literature programs support students with these tools to study God’s Word.
The Student Basic Library (SBL) program uniquely benefits students by giving them an opportunity to purchase theological study titles at affordable prices. These titles are carefully selected to form a core study library which will serve them in seminary and beyond into pastoral ministry. Last year, students in more than 25 Majority World countries were supported in their pastoral studies with SBL books.
We select a dozen large reference works and foundational library titles for students to purchase at significant discounts (70-80 percent off list price). Langham Literature pays the cost to ship books to the students. A set of SBL titles costs $300; shipping costs to a student in the Majority World reach approximately £60 / $100.
